Privacy policy

This site is WH-347 Check, run by Nick Kaufman, a sole proprietor based in Austin, Texas. If you have a question about your data or you want it deleted, email me at nick@wh347check.com and I will handle it myself.

The short version: I do not sell your data, I do not share it with advertisers, and this site sets no cookies. Below is the longer version, in plain words.

What I collect, and when

• When you email me a form. If you send me a WH-347 to check, I receive your email address, your name, and whatever is on the form you send, which can include worker names, trade classifications, hours and wages. I use this only to read the form and write you back. That is the whole reason it exists in my inbox.
• The self check collects nothing. The self check runs entirely in your own browser. What you type and what you tick is never uploaded, never saved on a server, and never sent to me. I do not see it. Close the tab and it is gone.
• Visit numbers. The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It is privacy first, it sets no cookies, and it does not follow you around the web. It records rough, aggregate things like which page was viewed, the referring site, the country and the browser type. It cannot single you out.
• Server logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard server request data, which can include your IP address, to serve the page and to keep the site up and secure.

Who else touches the data

I keep the list of outside companies short and I name every one of them here:

• Cloudflare hosts the site and provides the cookieless visit analytics.
• Zoho Mail runs the nick@wh347check.com mailbox, so any form or message you email me is stored in that mailbox.
• Google Fonts. The page loads two fonts from Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads. That is the only reason Google is involved.

No one else. No advertising networks, no tracking pixels, no data brokers. I do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

How long I keep it

Forms and emails stay in my mailbox only as long as I need them to do your check and answer any follow-up. Ask me to delete yours and I will. The visit analytics is aggregate and is not tied to you.

Your rights

You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email nick@wh347check.com and that address is the one that answers.

If you live in California, the CCPA gives you the right to know what is collected and to have it deleted. I do not sell or share your personal information, so there is nothing there for you to opt out of, but the access and deletion rights still apply and I honor them.

I honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal automatically. If your browser sends it, that is treated as your instruction not to have your data sold or shared, which on this site it already is not.

Children

This site is for people running payroll on federal construction work. It is not aimed at children and I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Changes

If I change how any of this works I will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is a big one, I will say so plainly.
